The Ounasjoki, right outside your window
The villa stands on the bank of the free-flowing Ounasjoki, among old pines. From the sofa, the bed and the hot tub, the river is always in view, and on still evenings it is the only thing you hear.
No streetlights. Just the stars.
Far from towns and roads, the nights here are properly dark. Switch off the lights, step out on the deck and the sky fills with more stars than you knew were there.
Watch for the aurora from your pillow
A glass roof window above the bed frames the night sky. When the northern lights appear, you can watch them without leaving the warmth of the covers.
Aurora season runs from late August to early April. Dark nights and a clear sky matter more than the exact month.
Nobody else. Only nature.
The whole place is yours. A private Finnish sauna, an outdoor hot tub and the forest all around, with no shared spaces and no neighbours looking in. Warm up by the wood stove, heat the sauna, then sink into the hot tub under the open sky.

The villa is about 45 minutes by car from Rovaniemi Airport and the city centre. Rent a car from us and drive out at your own pace.
